Which Tale: Despereaux or Desperation?

I saw The Tale of Despereaux this past Sunday. I saw it at the Cineplex Odeon cinemas in Windsor, Ontario's Devonshire Mall. Given that I picked the weekend with the coldest weather of the season to take a short trip across the border, I didn't think making a trip to Point Pelee National Park was a good idea. Staying inside was an excellent idea. Besides, by going to the first showing of the day, I avoided listening to the broadcast of the Detroit Lions attempting to play the New Orleans Saints and pick up their first win of the season. You could call it The Tale of Desperation!

And what did I think of Tracey's work in Despereaux? She does her usual fine job in voicing the character of servant girl Miggery Sow, who dreams of being a princess (sentiments not shared by the one who gives her voice!). It was a good way to pass the afternoon. And after I heard the score of the Lions game (35 to 7 in favor of New Orleans, en route to an eventual 42-7 triumph), I knew I had made the right decision.
